Always Project Hop- "Always Handmade- Gifts for the People We Love
For the month of August, Benartex and I hosted a Project Hop for my new Always Fabric Collection and boy the makers did not disappoint with all of their beautiful projects they made this month. I want to share the overview of those in which the makers shared the details with me for this article.
The Hartzell Homestead (Gracie Gibson & Sharla Hartzell)
Next up is the mother daughter due from the Hartzell Homestead, in Dover, AR. Gracie made three darling Holland pouches from Center Street Quilts. The pearlescent in the collection makes it extra special for a great bride or bridesmaid's gift. You can check out their Live's on FB every Thursday at 5pm CST. They also sell my fabric collections on their website.
Then her mom Sharla, make this darling Homestead Apron, which is her own pattern (it's only $3.50 on her website if you want to snag a copy). I bought one when I was at her shop in July and plan to make one myself. I think it would make a great wedding gift for a bride.

Amy made a cute toe & darling bow accent with the collection. Again, another great gift for a bride or bridesmaids to hold wedding day goodies. Her Quilted Patchwork tote is free when you sign up for her newsletter.
Kate of Quiltin' Crazy
Kate made her Lacy Hearts quilt in my Always collection. I really like how she made such good use of the lights and darks to make the hearts pop. This would be a cute gift for a baby or little girl in your life.
Sara of Snuggle Bug Stitching
"This fabric is perfect for special occasion gifts. At 80″ x 80″, this quilt is definitely not small, but it’s still a quick and easy make, perfect for a wedding, bridal shower, or anniversary gift.
"I combined two “easier than it looks” techniques in this design. The top can be made with all layer cake squares and minimal cutting. It has a lot of large pieces, so it’s great for those large scale prints that you don’t want to cut into small pieces. I was able to finish my top in just ONE afternoon."
I loved how she used the shiny teal thread for her dense quilting and the wavy stitch for her binding. It's so 'snuggly'. You can find Sarah's FREE Broken Axle quilt pattern on her website.
Amanda of Be Many Things
Amanda made two gorgeous Grapeful Totes, which are PERFECT for gifting a bottle of wine or champaign to the happy couple or for so many other occasions like a housewarming, anniversary or any celebration. I loved how she selected the two novelty prints in my collection for her project- a perfect match. She has a really supportive FB Maker Group as well to share your projects when you make her bags. She's the bag queen!
Lisa of 5Sunset Lane
"I am excited to share this project for the “Always Handmade” project hop with fabric from the Always Collection by Belle Brunner and Benartex. This free garment bag pattern by Caroline Fairbanks of Sew Can She is the perfect project for showcasing this lovely fabric!
Hearts, lace, pearls and more can be found accented with a unique pearlescent ink adding shimmer and shine. The outer fabric of the bag is Love Notes and includes whispered words of affection in different fonts and colors. Inside is a romantic floral, Wedding Blooms, featuring peonies and adding a sense of romance.
The large heart quilt stitch pattern is a perfect reminder of a day filled with love, be it your wedding day, anniversary or just a get away with someone special."

Jen of Snap Dragon Quilting
Jen made this quilt with her new Love Without End pattern. Her pattern (and many others) uses reverse applique curved hearts. Her work is stunning and she teaches the reverse applique technique at her new brick and mortar shop in Vegas as well at quilt shows. I love how she used the darkest prints in my collection to make elements in the pattern pop.
Belle of Seams Sew Me
I wrapped up the Always Project Hop with my Riverglen Table Runner from one of my cathedral window patterns. This would make a beautiful runner for the bride and groom table at a wedding reception or anniversary party. The center part of the runner is without cathedral windows so that you can easily set a cake or flower arrangement there without it being unbalanced. I used my Baby Lock Sashiko and Auriful 28wt thread for the quilting. It's also just a great runner for any special occasion especially because the 'windows' are perfect for novelty print fussy cutting. The pattern is available as a PDF or in booklet format and comes with video tutorials. I also teach this modern easy cathedral window class at quilt guilds and quilt shows.
